Hey, can anyone provide me something about the residential life? How's the housing facility like and how's the COMMON themes like?
Thanks

Go to the Housing website at Northwestern.

http://www.northwestern.edu/housing

tenis, you should get paid by the admissions office.

seriously...you should

I agree! Thanks for all of your help.

I volunteer for the admissions office. However, I do have a paid parrt-time job as a research assistant for a professor. =)

whats the best dorm in terms of room size, clean and new, proximity to food etc..?
anybody know anything about the business residential college?

....bump......

Yea I would like the inside scoop on what most kids think the best housing is in terms of room quality.

here.. its for the 2002-2003 school year.. as the 2004-2005 one hasn't ended it. it should give some ideas on room quality and stuff. But Allison hall had a mice problem then... i would hope NU fixed it by now.. its been a year... The biggest rooms is teh Chaplin residential college for humanities... http://www.asg.northwestern.edu/services/dtecs/

Oh wow i really never saw a site like this. Thanks so much

Only problem is that the percent of those who rated was kinda low. Is there any school wide opinions on certain housing being good, notably in the more science part of school (is that north or south?).

yea.. its low of ppl that rate.. its the best i know of though.. I guess it's like any survey.. only ppl that have strong opinons would actaully participate..=/ i've heard north is the "tech" side of northwestern..but iono about science.

when i was there in feb, they still had the mice problem.

LOL! I didn't really like the food while there. But then I am satisfied by only small percentage of restaurants in SF/NYC/LA/Chicago. Friends/coworkers call me a food expert cos they all like the places I've taken them to. ;) It depends on how picky you are.

From what I hear, NW has residential halls & residential colleges. What's better to choose as a freshman? How much of a choice is there, anyway, for freshman applicants?

This is crazy - the more I think about leaving to college, the more questions I have. Thankfully this board exists! :-)

Residential colleges for freshmen.

which residential college did you stay in, tenisghs? why do you like it?

That DTEC site with student comments is kind of old. Plus, a lot of things are blown out of proportion. The mice thing isn't a big problem in Allison. As well, there's not racist/hate crime things going on at Ayers CCI.
