Hi guys.
I'm so happy I'm accepted to Syracuse for Engineering...

I'm an international student from China, who is currently studying in PA.

I got 1590 on SAT. 700 for Math and 380 for Critical reading haha :p

SAT 2 physics 680 and Math level II 740.

I thought I wont make it....and I even posted a thread before talking about my bad sat score and asked for college options.

But now I still want to know more about engineering programs at syracuse.

Is it pretty strong?
Will I get a good job after I graduate from there?

anyone please?

Hi, My son attends Syracuse University in the Engineering Department. It is a very good program with very strong placement after graduating. He works very hard, but it enjoying it very much. With your scores being a bit low, this was a very good thing. You can do very well by attending this university.

Congratulations on your admission to the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University.

I work in the undergraduate admissions office for LCS and I’d be more than happy to answer your questions. We are a top 50 engineering school with 9 premiere undergraduate programs and a number of graduate programs. As demonstrated by the fact that we have student to faculty ration of 12:1, we make it a priority to make sure our students are in an environment where they get to really grasp the material and put it into practice. LCS has it’s own career center, staffed with people to help our students with their resumes, the interview process, and developing connections in industry. Due to this personalized approach and the extensive SU and LCS connections, we have a great employment rate. This past year 82% of our graduates were employed within 6 months of graduation and 16% went on to full-time graduate school or a health professional school.

I hope this helps and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Best,
