I live in RI, and I love the snow. But, I have to say that compared to past years (like my elementary and middle school years) it hasn't been as cold. Today wasn't that bad either (I was running outside for an hour and a half with shorts).

Walk around downtown and you can see plaques on buildings showing how high flood waters have been.

Wow sounds so cold. Right now its about 50 and its nighttime. Its has been 70 to 80 during the day these past few days in southern CA. I don't know how Im gonna adapt. lol

lol, i have friends in cali and they say the same thing about coming to the east coast! this was brought up before briefly, but the most important thing to remember is the humidity, it is WET heat! i would say bringing clothing for almost every type of weather is essential, because the RI area gets everything except for bitter cold: it's rarely below 0 degrees. otherwise though, be prepared and you'll be fine! ;)

0 degrees kelvin?!?!

Yes. 0 degrees kelvin. The brown kids are just soooooooo cool that they can stand 0 degrees kelvin.

Granted, Providence is pretty slow when it gets that cold. It's like nothing's happening anywhere.

haha swang, our skin has adapted to the extreme cold, we have different layers for the winter and summer. nah, i always have to remember that the US is "cool" and decides to use the english system, in metric it's about -17 celsius, but it rarely is that cold. usually during the winter it's about -6 to 5 degrees celsius, with a warm jacket and hat it's not so bad. ;) and (hopefully!) we'll be near the beach when it's summertime anyways!

I dunno, it's been pretty weird lately. Today it was like 60 degrees out (F).

i think as a general rule, we should talk about temperatures in kelvin.

so in the dead of winter, when we're numb and frosty, we can still say, "god, can you believe it's like 250 out?!"

V this girl is a genius

(yeah, I'm talking about her. down there. that's right. hi holly)

Hi ShadyLane/hannah (i swear i'm not stalking but you said your name cuz of the amazon page plz believe me lololol)
