HS course requirements for Emory admissions

I spent some time on Emory’s website trying to find out if Emory recommends students have 4 years of foreign language. I could not find that information or anything similar about other courses. Would someone please point me to it?

found this on one of those college blogs:

“To be competitive, Emory applicants must have completed four years of high school English, two years of high school history, two years of high school social studies, and two years of high school science lab. Emory only requires three years of math and two years of science and foreign language, but it prefers to admit students who have studied each of those subjects for four years. It also prefers students to have taken at least one fine art course. The average high school GPA of an Emory student is 3.84.”

Thank you @nightstalker160 !

My son, who is currently a freshman at Oxford, had 4 english, 4 history, 3 language, 3 math, 4 science, and 4 fine arts (band). 7 of these were AP and most others were honors courses. I think the most important thing for admissions is to see that the prospective student is taking the most difficult courses at his/her high school and is not padding their GPA with easier courses.
