HS course selection for a very talented incoming freshman

<p>I would not recommend 2 science classes. D's HS Freshman Honors Bio used the same college book that she later used at college and was the most challenging class in 9th grade. Being extremely bright was not enough in this class, they needed to work very hard to get a decent grade.</p>

<p>I am trying to contact parents of the kids that attend the school, this seems to be the way to find out the most.
I agree about Bio above. Bio is a lot about memorization. Chem is different though, math and a lot of hands on... So agree that every school is different...</p>

<p>I would not push APUSH yet. At many schools, it is considered to be the most difficult of the liberal arts APs. </p>

<p>I would have your child do AP world before AP Euro.</p>

<p>If your goal for your child is to end up with IB diploma, doesn't he/she need to take the IB history courses.</p>
