Hi, do you guys know anybody who got into Ivy institution with GED diploma?

Just wondering... Due to personal problems,
I dropped and got honors GED diploma but who gives a ...
It's an easy test.

I know that if I had extenuating circumstance, it can be forgiven, but lacking credits...well that's gotta bring me down.

Also, I've heard that if I am Asian, I am only compared to my race for its quota or something? Would that make it more competitive since Asain kids are usually nerds(sorry)? It doesn't make sense and maybe it's not true b/c they are supposed to look for overall diversity. I don't know.

I'm in the same situation, I have a GED also. Yes, it was an easy test. I'm going to a community college now until next fall.

If it's any help- my aunt had health problems and attended community college for a while in her twenties before transferring to Yale and graduating from a master's program there.

I personally know 2 people who went to Cornell and 4 that went to Columbia with GEDs. One of the people at Cornell went to community college first. Anything is possible.

Go to Afghanistan, join the Taliban (particularly in a public relations role), and if you can dodge the legal consequences Yale will undoubtedly accept you.

I personally don't know how the Ivies review apps and such, but I'm assuming they want people from all walks of life, who've gone through different life experiences, etc. One thing is for certain though--you better stand out, or you'll just blend in with the rest of them.
