HS Scheduling Advice for Prospective Science/Engineering Major

Hello…
I’m currently an rising sophomore in high school, and was wondering if anyone could take a look at my projected schedule for the next 3 years. I am looking to attend a top 20/30 college for science/engineering in the future.

Freshman Year: Bio Honors, English I Honors, Advanced Alg. II Honors, WH Honors, Chinese 3, Art Foundations
(4.0 UW, 4.65 W GPA)

Sophomore Year: Chem Honors, English II Honors, Pre-Calc Honors, American History I Honors, Chinese 4 Honors, Art I - (Will likely self study AP Psychology or AP HG)

Junior Year: AP Bio, AP Calc AB, AP Lang, AP US History, Physics Honors, Art II Honors

Senior Year: AP Chem, Advanced Topics Physics Honors, AP Calc BC, AP Lit, AP Micro, AP Studio Art

Would this schedule be considered “rigorous enough” for T20/30 Science/Engineering Schools?
(As a side note, Gym and Study Hall are required all 4 years at our school

Yes it’s an excellent schedule, except…

  1. don’t self study AP’s. If you want a sense of the way APs work, for APUSH, you can look at APHG or even AP world, but don’t “self study” for it.
  2. senior year, take either AP lit or AP Econ, not both – you’ll be very busy with college apps.
  3. also look at industrial design, industrial engineering, Cs+x programs.

If you are leaning more towards engineering vs science, I would suggest taking AP chem junior year and AP physics C senior year. It will help you more in college than AP bio.

switch Ap Bio to AP physics.
