I am a H.S. Sophomore and I have no idea what colleges to apply for. I want to do premed. I was considering University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, Washington State University (Resident). My GPA is around a 3.3/4.0 and I have a few extracurriculars not much. My goal is to be a pediatrician. Are there any good premed schools based on my criteria. I am not sure about this. Is premedicine considered a major or is it just a program?

you're a little young to be concerned about all of this. i mean, first concern yourself with doing well in school, and then with college stuff in junior year. premed is usually a track, meaning that you have to just follow a set of courses. other schools may have a premed major.

I thought it was too late. Most of my friends know what they want to do and what college and they have their whole life planned out. I'm scared that I might fall behind. But other than this, can someone else help with my issue...Thanks a bunch!

i agree with terry. sophomore year is still bliss. junior year was the bain of my existence. and senior year is less tiring in terms of work (at least for me) but ridiculously stressful with sat's and college apps. relax. you have time.
also, pretty much any school has a pre med track. or major.
