I'm a current high school sophomore from a small school in Maine.
Currently, my grades do not reflect my intelligence at all. For about the past 5 years, my grades have been consistently poor. Disorganization and depression have always seemed to bring me down, and so I have gone from being one of the top students in my school/class, to nearly failing some classes. I've also been told that I have genius-level intelligence, but after reflecting upon my school performance, I find that very hard to believe.

My grades for last semester, and my PSAT score were as follows (my school does not give letter grades):

Latin II - 88
Honors English III - 93
Honors Horizons Anthropology - 92
Honors US History - 84
H Geometry/Algebra II - 91
Painting - 100
Honors Chemistry - 80

PSAT - 205

I've talked to the teachers whose classes I did poorly in and they all say that they know I understand the class (I always test very well, and did very well on midterms), but that I sometimes don't pass in homework or fall behind in studying. This semester I am trying to step up and grow up a little and so far I am doing very well: 99-100's in my classes. I am currently worried that even if I can get all A's for the rest of my high school career, these past grades will come back and bite me in the back when the time comes to apply for college.
Another factor that has me worrying is the course offering of my school. The highest math they offer is AP Calculus, which is what I would take senior year on my current track. The only other science courses they offer are Honors/AP Biology and AP Physics. There are no Computer Science classes, or other really interesting classes that I think would interest me, and the only other option would be community college/online courses. As a hopeful Computer Science major, this is extremely disheartening, and I don't think I will be able to show future colleges (like MIT or Cornell or some other impossible super-reach school) my capability. I was thinking of applying to the Maine School of Science and Math (top school in state) and I could probably get in, but money and distance are a huge problem if I were to make that decision, and I would have to leave behind all of my friends and teachers that I have grown comfortable with (not too great at socializing)
I'm asking mostly about my chances of getting into a top college, and what I can do to improve them, as well as advice from people who are/have been in similar situations. Any advice/statistics/chances at all are welcome though.
