Hi everyone,
I’ve been in a bit of a dilemma lately. I’m currently attending Bryant university (a business school) as a biology major and finished freshman year. My ultimate goal is to go to medical school. My cumulative gpa at Bryant is a 4.0, so assuming I obtain fantastic MCAT scores as well as research and clinical exposure, I shouldn’t worry TOO MUCH about medical school. I’ve just been accepted into northeastern, and it made things so much more complicated. It’s almost certain that going to northeastern would have my gpa drop significantly (their science curriculum is much more difficult than that of a business school). However, the name of the institution (for medicine) holds more value than Bryant. My question: assuming my gpa drops when I go to northeastern, how do medical schools value gpa vs college attended. Does a 4.0 at Bryant yield more value than a 3.6 at northeastern. I need to make a decision very soon. Thanks everyone!
