Huge dilemma- UCSD v. EMORY v. UCSB

<p>My issues:</p>

<ul>
<li><p>I want to study chemistry (premed)</p></li>
<li><p>I want to go to a good school with respected academics</p></li>
<li><p>I want to have a lot of fun</p></li>
<li><p>I will probably pledge</p></li>
<li><p>I want to stay in socal (obviously emory does no fulfill this but I feel it might outweigh the others in the other categories)</p></li>
<li><p>My main issue: I didn't get into ucla or usc</p></li>
</ul>

<p>What would you suggest? Has anyone else had a similar decision in which they made choice they regret or praise?</p>

<p>I’m in the same exact boat except it’s between UCSD and UCSB for me. I’m worried UCSD is to dead socially for me, but UCSB doesn’t have the academics I want.</p>

<p>Is there any difference in cost for you? If so, what would you do with the money you save by choosing the cheapest of the bunch?</p>

<p>I received a large scholarship from emory so the price differences between these 3 are negligible (between $500-$1000 total difference)</p>
