I narrowed it down to Emory and USC. I'm going for pre-dentistry (chemistry) and I would also like to minor or double major in business administration. USC will cost about 30K more, but my parents will (thankfully) pay for it. What do you think is a better choice? I like Emory's campus a little bit more but I love both.

I think most people have told you over and over again to go to Emory and that it is silly to have your parents pay 30K more for an inferior school, but what you seem to be looking for is for someone to say - go to USC! Well no one in their right mind would say that, but if mommy and daddy are willing to foot the bill and they have no problem doing so and they can live with your decision, then be their baby.

It sounds like Emory already has the edge…or am I not reading something right? We just visited Emory 3 days ago and D loved it. Why are you hesitating between the two?

"People in Asia only knows USC, no one knows Emory. "

Oh because you speak for all the billions of people in Asia? This is an idiotic statement. And yes Emory is still the best choice. The only way USC makes sense is if it costs LESS than Emory which it DOES NOT. It sounds like you are desperate though, so I would submit your financial aid offer to USC and see if they can negotiate with you. It’s easier to do this as a graduate student, but it’s worth a shot.

undertaker: the only thing that matters for what you want to do is GPA; USC has great science opportunities and you can save that 60K for later…

Emory is good but not 60K more good than USC…

Now, if you need to discuss things other than $$ (like if you are from the east and are moving way across the country to attend) that’s a diff story; that’s more like “fit” but, honestly, with a 60K diff you could take first class back and forth and still have $$ leftover…

edit: I have NO idea what the above poster is talking about…haha

That’s a tough choice! I think Emory might have the edge on getting you into dental school, but USC is cheaper. The main thing is that they have completely different atmospheres. Are you leaning east coast small school or west coast large school?
