Sorry this is a long read, but I am in need of advice...

I'm already a one-time transfer who is majoring in Sport Mgt/Admin at UMiami. All year I've had thoughts of transferring again as I feel that the distance is too far from home, the necessity for a car (and the risk of driving it down here, insurance risks, etc) and overall not enjoying the school nearly as much as I thought I would (I've tried to make myself like the school, etc.) This is a crucial time period since I'm finishing my second year, so my window of opportunity to transfer again is getting smaller and smaller. My family is opposed to me making another move to transfer, but I feel that finally I know which school is right for me socially and academically (Syracuse).

However, there is another part to this story and that is that I wish to change my major from Sport Mgt. to Business (preferably Finance). The reasoning behind this is not only that I lost interest in studying Sport Mgt (due to difficulty to break into the field and wanting to major in something more broad to leave my options open for after graduation). This means that if my calculations are correct from requirements that I would need to fulfill at Syracuse that it would take me an extra semester to graduate. In addition, I would have to attend a local school for 1 semester to catch up on credits and so I would be able to transfer to 'Cuse in Spring of 08.

Let me know as a whole, is my idea really worth it? I know the ultimate decision is mine, but I don't want to look back and say that I wish I would have done this and I would like to have more stable options job-wise coming out of school just in case I don't want to attend grad school right away (or at all) Thanks in advance!!
