Has anyone here ever worked or are currently working in HR Consulting? I'm curious to know the starting pay right after undergrad, the hours, lifestyle, perks, and caveats. Is it a lot like management consulting? What type of personalities are fit for this career?

Although I never worked in HR Consulting, I was offered a job from Mercer when I got my MILR. Companies like Mercer and Hewitt pay students fresh out of college an average of $50,000-$55,000/year. The work hours are reasonable, roughly 60-75 hours a week (12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week). Those companies recruit at very select universities. Cornell's ILR school, Ross and Wharton are probably the three main campuses. Like MCs, HR Consulting firms usually appeals to high-strung, type-A personalities.
