Humanities Biology?

My friend supposedly received a letter in the mail congratulating her on her acceptance into Caltech Class of 2014 through a special humanities biology program of some kind that is joint with MIT. I have never heard of such a program and have done my best to research into it, and came up with nothing.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this, or had any comments on the legitimacy/existence of this program.

Thanks

I’m a junior at Caltech and I’ve never heard of such a thing. What would “humanities biology” even be?

Did your friend ever show you this letter? I’ve never heard of such a thing, and to my knowledge, we have no joint undergrad programs with MIT.

On a similar note, I knew a guy in high school who told everyone he got a 37 on his ACT. I would have thought he was joking, except he told his teachers (next time he lies about his scores, he should check to make sure in it’s the possible range first).

Maybe he was mentioning the 3-2 program with Occi? Or the UCSD program?

Neither of those are “humanities biology” and neither of them are joint with MIT. I say ask to see the acceptance letter. :)
