Humanities Grading

Are classes like L&S R44 graded on a pure 90+=A, 80+=B, etc scale, or is there any curving or scaling done with grades? For example, if I get an 87% in the class, is that considered a B under standard conditions or is there a possibility of that being changed?

Or, is it completely up to GSIs to determine the grades that correspond to percentages and such?

I'm asking this because my GSI gave us %'s on our assignments while other GSI's just gave letter grades without numbers. And, the final is out of a set number of points anyway.

Thanks

when I took that class, there was no curve and gsi’s controlled your grade. I don’t think they weighed the sections, but the final probably helps even people out. GSI’s with letter grades are probably just using a standard grade scale.

Where did you find your L&S R44 grade?

my GSI posted everything on bspace, so I got to see all my terrible essay scores yet again. It’ll show up on bear facts eventually too.
