How are GSIs supposed to compute your grade?

One of GSIs grades w/ decimals (.85, .90, .95) and apparently he's just going to multiply each of those by how much the assignment/test is worth and then add the results of that and that will be my class grade (translated to a %age.) But my other GSI just grades with 4.0, 3.7, 3.3 etc. This GSI then multiplies those by how much each assignment/test is worth. So which one is right?!?! This could mean a big difference. Also, in a humanities class, what makes an A? a 93% minimum?

Help me!
