Grades?

How are GSIs supposed to compute your grade?

One of GSIs grades w/ decimals (.85, .90, .95) and apparently he's just going to multiply each of those by how much the assignment/test is worth and then add the results of that and that will be my class grade (translated to a %age.) But my other GSI just grades with 4.0, 3.7, 3.3 etc. This GSI then multiplies those by how much each assignment/test is worth. So which one is right?!?! This could mean a big difference. Also, in a humanities class, what makes an A? a 93% minimum?

Help me!

Which one is right? They both are, because they can grade in basically any manner they feel like. Of course you can challenge it, but that will most likely end badly. Regardless of how things are graded, the end result will be a letter and perhaps a - or +.
