Humanities major, Revelle--need advice!

Like a bunch of other people, I didn't do a lot of research on the different colleges and now I'm stuck in Revelle, indisputably the most difficult of the colleges. While the well-rounded aspect of the curriculum did appeal to me at first, I'm now legitimately worried that I won't be able to keep up with the workload or maintain a reasonable GPA. I also am planning to major in the Classics which I think makes things a lot worse.

I would appreciate any information anyone has, either on their experience at Revelle or how to switch out! I really, really want to switch out because I don't want to have to work ridiculously hard, which at Revelle, even at its best, seems impossible.

the non-science-major track of chemistry is pretty easy … who knows, you might decide to like science :)

my best advice is to jump in with both feet and remain open-minded and eager to work hard – college is about challenging yourself and finding something you’re passionate about, and there will always be a few bumps in the road regardless of which college you choose.

That’s more or less what I was hoping. Is the rest just as easy or what? I know science courses for humanities students are evaluated as pass/no pass…

no they’re not. except for the one-unit freshman seminars, all classes have the grading option. revelle might require you to take the science and math classes for a grade, you need to double-check that on the website since i can’t recall.

the rest of the classes are what a typical humanities major would enjoy, so whether they’re easy is up to you …
