Huntsman Essay - Length?

Hi everyone, a quick question:

I'm thinking about applying to the Huntsman Program at Wharton, and the supplement prompt is

"Discuss a current international issue that demonstrates how international affairs and business intersect".

There is no specified word limit or recommended essay length - what do you think is a good length, and how long were successful past essays? 500 words? 3 pages?

Thanks for your help!

They say "one page."

shrug

I've looked everywhere, though, and it doesn't specify a length for the Huntsman essay anywhere.

I'd say go with the standard one-pager.

thanks for your help!

yep, mine was 1 page... and 590 words. and i got in, so i think one page is perfectly fine. I don't think fluff is the answer for this essay. Just find a point you want to make and make it.

They've got tons of applicants and tons of essays to read. The last thing they want is to have to read a novel. Keep it short and simple and make your point as clearly as possible.

Haha my essay for LSM was 785 words, but it fit onto one page in the online application. It was about 1.5 pages in Word.

whew - I'm relieved. I could have written a long essay for my topic though. :) thanks for the replies!

we don't have to relate it to ourselves and why we chose the Huntsman right? it isn't like the usual application essays?

um... i didn't. but i don't think it would hurt if you did.

err I wrote 947 words...

Hey Lavenderjade, do you think you could give me some tips on writing a good essay for the Huntsman program?..since you were accepted. I’d really appreciate any help^_^(If you prefer, you can write to my email)

Thanks a lot!
