I just got an email from one of the colleges saying they never received an application from me. I thought this was a little weird so I went onto commonapp and lo and behold it says my applications were not submitted!!!!!!!

I honestly don't know what to do. My supplementals were sent fine. I could have sworn the applications got submitted by paying the fees because I had the fees all paid and it shows on the site.

Can anyone help me figure out whether I am the one who missed something (like an extra step) or what because this throws the wrench into the works.

I'm screwed.

None of the colleges contacted you about the fact that you paid and sent suppliments but no application?

Call the office of admissions tomorrow and tell them what happened....ask if they can give you a delayed decision. I know it's a bit of a longshot, but I wouldn't be surprised if the school will offer to review your application considering that you paid for it (in a way, they are obligated to do so, though the time constraints are a problem.) It's possible that they can give you a decision in a few weeks. Either way, call them and see what you can do.

In the meantime, send your application and hope for success on your other applications. I'm sure things will work out for the best for you version.

Best of luck.

where did you apply to? I am very sorry to hear about what happened, do what Rman says, quickly email them

was this your top choice college? did it happen in more than one college?

get on the phone with your hs advisor ASAP and have him or her be the liason between you and the schools, often they have a good repore with many of the college admission offices, also what caliber of schools did you apply to, some are easier than others? GET ON THIS RIGHT AWAY.

This happened for two colleges out of the total 7 I applied to so on that note it's not so bad. They aren't Ivies or anything upper eschelon but. Before I contact them I want to know beforehand if I am the one who missed out some extra submit step because I am confused as to how I could possibly have paid for the applications without them ever being submitted. That way I can know if I have a point to argue or not.
