I welcome everybody to go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HYMPS to help me edit this new article about HYMPS.

is this wrong? i thought it was also sometimes HYPMS..D for Duke?? just wondering...

that's stretching it

It's definitely HYPMS.

Just for the record.

HYMPS is like humps with a weird accent.

at the undergraduate level, it's HYPSMC, or alternately arranged CHYMPS, and the C is for caltech. these six schools stand a clear cut above the rest on several important measures of selectivity.

HYP go together as "the big three", Stanford MIT makes it HYPSM, which I feel flows more nicely than HYPMS?

HYPSMC, doods.

i personally like PSYCH'M

PSYCH'M is my formulation, and I obviously prefer it.

The teeny-tiny equivalent is WASH'M, for Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore, Haverford and Middlebury (my top 5).

I note that the Wiki article is a "candidate for deletion" ..... a fate it richly deserves.

you thought of PSYCH'M, too? well, I guess it's a pretty expected outcome that other people would come up with it independently; after all, the letters are all there.
