So I’ve created a hypothetical situation based on some people I know at school. Let’s say that there is a student who has skipped a grade and in sophomore year he took all honors and one AP but he got all Bs and Cs in his classes. That has got to be horrible compared to taking all honors except for English and taking one ap stat in sophomore year and getting all As right? If you are just joining clubs because it looks good not because you have a passion for it, it also doesn’t look very impressive does it? And starting a club for the hell of starting a club? What’s ur take?
4.0 versus 2.2-2.8 GPA in a similar schedule pretty much overrides everything else (besides super-hooks like relative of someone who donated a building or highly recruited athlete) in terms of college admissions.
