I live in Miami, Florida. I am tempted to go to FSU or UF because they are in-state and I'd pay very little money to attend them. But let's just say that Stanford accepts me. Will the cost of an out-of-state expensive school like Stanford be outweighed by it's high ranking? IN other words, is it still worth the expensiveness? What about a school like BU? Is THAT school worth it? Im planning on majoring in law.

I think Stanford might be worth paying more money for, if and only if your family can afford to send you to Stanford with the aid package you’re offered. (Note: not everyone agrees with me on this.)

I don’t wish to disrespect BU, but I don’t think BU is worth causing your family financial hardship or taking on huge undergraduate debt if UF or FSU is an affordable and acceptable alternative.

Also, I’m sure you meant something a little different, but you can’t “major in law” in the U.S. In the U.S., all law degrees are post-baccalaureate degrees. In other words, you have to go to college first, and get a B.A. or B.S. in–well, it doesn’t matter really, in almost anything–and then go to law school.
