Say a student has maintained an 86.6 unweighted GPA (100 point scale) at seriously grade deflated private high school for his/her freshman and sophomore year. Then, the student transfers into a top 100 public school for his/her junior and senior year, and earns a 95 unweighted GPA (100 point scale) for his/her time at the public high school. How would colleges see this? Would the transfer be seen as a weakness?

Possibly, but if they check the record of the public school in comparison to the private school I don’t think they’d hold it against you.
