bumping again…

bumping one more time… Please reply! Even if you have nothing much to say! Also I forgot to mention earlier that I am very friendly with teachers (as in they are my friends) and like small class sizes. I participate moderately in classes.

bumping again… reply!

9th grade is young. As you go through the next year, try to learn who you are and expand your experiences- the top colleges do not admit kids based on stats alone.

bump… Please reply! Even if you are just viewing! Any advice would be great!

What on earth are you thinking about? Chancing at 9th grade… First off, we have nothing to work with save your sat score mostly. Second off, your selection of only the “cream” of the crop schools leads me to believe that you are simply not mature enough to do your research behind each of these schools. Your scores are good if they are real. What more can we say? 2400,2200,2100 all get rejected each year. Be unique be confident and above all, don’t ask others to chance you in 9th grade. If you want to get into these colleges go out and do something you enjoy to the deepest depth possible. Maybe you will gain some perspective on colleges in general.

AIME 5 in grade 9 is solid. Your next goal definitely should be USAMO, then possibly MOP.
USA Math Olympiads participants have way higher acceptance rate to these schools than normal applicant pool.
I have done olympiads for all of my high school, almost made IMO 2012 (top12 :P)

A few more responses…

There is really nothing else to say, it is too early and you already got more responses then most 9th grades (or 10th graders) get since most people don’t like chancing 9th/10th graders due to there being so many things that are still uncertain. Go focus on school and come back to College Confidential in a year or two.

“What else do I need to do, other than obvious things like sports.”

Get off CC, and go make more friends
