I usually just view and don’t post (made an account for this post!), but you honestly have one of the most impressive stats I have ever read on college confidential. HYPSM are reaches for everyone, but you have a chance better than most, and really deserve it. Learning a language from scratch at a new school is really no small feat, and will stand out as they compare you against the many other competitive Asian applicants.
You definitely have the stats and ec’s to have a decent chance at any school, really. However, I don’t see you any more unique than other HYPSM applicants. Honestly, no one can chance you or anyone for HYPSM schools. That said, for the others, you have a pretty good chance.

Yeah, being international is going to be tough but I would say that you are certainly competitive with your stats and ECs, however your EC’s don’t stand out a lot. My advice would be to make sure you don’t forget about all of the other essays on the common app since essays are maybe the biggest part of an application. Other than that, I would say you’ve done as well as you could up until this point, and everything is now in the hands of the admissions gods. Good luck!

You look like 99% of other high scoring, mathlete asians. You really need to be able to stand out. Your scores and performance in the olympiads are nice, but there will be dozens of kids applying who look exactly like you. Having rich parents who were able to send you to the best private schools is nice, but you will come across as a spoiled rich kid.
Sigh… these stats make my soul wither.
