I am stuck, and don't know if I'm doing the right thing. Please help.

I'm currently a student at a community college in NJ, on my second semester, planning to transfer to Rutgers after I complete the amount of credits I need. My current selected major is Associate in Science, Professional Studies and I picked up a sheet in the counseling office, called "Best Bets - How to succeed in Business at Rutgers University - New Brunswick", showing the list of courses that required for entrance into the New Brunswick Business program. I am following this sheet and am going to take all the courses that are on this paper, since they are REQUIRED, and if I miss out on one course, I might be screwed even though my grades are good.

However, Rutgers will not be the only school I will be applying to. Rutgers is just my top choice. I am looking at other schools as well such as a couple SUNY schools, TCNJ, etc. The thing I am worried about is - As you know, I'm following the green sheet, which has the courses I must take for entrance into the New Brunswick Business program ......... but I'm very worried that the SUNY schools and TCNJ might not match this green sheet, which Rutgers wants, so do I have to take courses that SUNY and TCNJ wants too or does it not matter?

For example, on the green sheet for Rutgers, it says I must take Financial Accounting, Micro Economics, Intro to Information Technology, etc. What if SUNY and TCNJ didn't want me to take these courses? Plus, I don't even know if I should keep this major. If I take these business courses and all of us sudden one day, I decide to change my major, I would have taken those courses for nothing .. so I am so stuck on what to do. Please help me. Thank you very much ..

you should be fine as long as you don’t miss any courses required by SUNY and TCNJ. taking extra courses won’t hurt your chances
