I am taking ib

hey i am an ib student

so do u think the adcoms in uni will look at my gcse results?
or is ib everything?

They look at everything...

besides...you get your ib results after you're already in college.

But I've spoken to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions about thsi personally. It's the predicted grades that count most in Yale's case. The finals are pretty much used to buy your way into getting university credits. Email me at lunamaria01@gmail.com if you want more info

why?

u mean gcse doesnt count AT ALL????

Shootingstars, gcse definitely counts for something. Everything you do counts for something. Unfortunately, only the IB HL subjects (some SL subjects too) and AP exams can buy you university credit though. Most people on this forum aren't from the UK, so when they talk about high school, they don't usually discuss gcse at all. I'm pretty unfamiliar with it myself, but if you go into the Interntional Students thread, I'm sure that you can find many people that could help you with your questions. Sorry I'm not of any real help.. Good luck!!

P.S. I.B.RedGirl: I'm Croatian, but I live in Canada. I was born in Split, though. Are you Croatian too, or did you just live there?

rockermcr, please check your PM. Glad that I'm not the only Yale-wuving Croat round here! Yup, I'm pure Croatian. Only I never lived there.
