Thanks!

I'm assuming that you're applying RD at this point.

I would say reach based on your scores. The majority of RD applicants will be very strong stats-wise, so it would behoove you to re-take the SAT's or take the ACT's even. Some people are much better at one than the other. You may or may not find that to be the case yourself. Anyhow...

Good luck! :)

the fact that you are ranked #1 and have rather modest sat scores suggests to me that your school is not 2 competitive. It could be that your test scores are not reflective of your real academic abilities, however.

I'm impressed... that you could be ranked 1 and fail to break 2000. Prepare yourself for disappointment- that way, if you do get in you'll be pleasantly surprised.

^^^^ agreed!

SAT scores are not particularly up to par (Both in the general and the subject tests). I find it surprising that you were ranked no.1....how competitive is your school? Any chance of re-taking the SATs?

As noted, your SAT and SAT Subject Test scores are not competitive at NU.
You also said that you have taken three APs already - USH, Econ and Lang (which one?) - but don't say what your AP test scores were.
I have to agree with arbiter123 - i.e., while anything is possible, you should be prepared for the worst; that way there's only an up side.
