i think i have had enuff CUPCAKE !!...i went to the same high school as blip, chochu444, and this guy in discussion here....i would like to tell u that this guy was my roomamte for 2 years in high skl....if u are used to looking around at CC....u may know...abhay, purityandchastity, spacewarp and daydreamer...we all are from the same skl...they all know abt this guy...u can ask them anytime u want...they will be more than happy to enlighten u......

I see that u r from Oxford...and I also noticed ur quotes about 'Oxford Myths'...well...I thought Oxford was a place for intelligent ppl... anyway....i was wrong...r u sure u r a student at oxford ?? just wanted to know whether u r in the 80% u r talking abt !!

cupcake, just in case no one has told you, you really suck. there is a big difference in being sceptic and being foolish. As for your stats abt 80 % and all that ****, what the hell does it mean? Ur stats seem to be based on the assumption that the 80% constitutes of me, blip, and ahtsisab while you fall under the elite 20 %. Let me tell you this: YOU ARE WRONG.Just because you are not good enough, you are trying to ridicule truth. And as for your attitude, you certainly need some serious help.
I am looking forward to hearing some more of your arguments. It is getting pretty interesting, dealing with a person who acts as a know-all but actually is just plain naive.
Have a great day.

I think anyone who says they have 13 A-levels is a liar!
No comments. You are free to think. But please note there are more ppl here who think anyone who says they have 13 A-levels is NOT a liar.
I don't actually know how this would be possible because all the exams would clash so how would they take them.
You quite rightly say you don't know how this is possible. After all, you haven't had a friend who has taken 13 A levels. Our school is a registered CIE exams center, and adjustments are possible when examinations clash.

A donkey could do A-level general studies. It's the easiest exam in the world. I have it too.
Well ... have we a confession here? Ok ... good. And for now ... please stop braying.

I'm sorry but I still do not believe anyone has 13 A-levels in one year. ... This sounds like one of those "Oxbridge myths". No-one ever says "I have 13 A-levels". It's always some mysterious friend. Probably one who bought them over the internet.
Again, you and your beliefs!

Please note that if I were a person with 13As and already got into Princeton ... I would not spend my time posting to forums about my 13As.

Well, cupcake, have fun disbelieving - that seems to be your hobby.

Now, I think cupcake that you should change your adamant judgement about almost everybody being a liar here in CC. And enjoy the fun of believing in right and valid things. Tht I believe is the actual sign of maturity!
:)

blip, chochu444, abhay, purityandchastity, spacewarp and daydreamer...what high school in Kathmandu did you guys go to? And what batch was that 13A's guy? That is totally wicked! Good job!

after reading posts at CC i have realised how diff the alevel systems are in diff countries!!
even within Cambridge Alevel, are all Alevel by Cambridge??

theincredibles, we went to Budhanilkantha School, the national school of Nepal (showing off what little I can.) This guy was our classmate; we were of the same batch.
neha1, our A Levels was from Cambridge. The questions came from Cambridge, Uk and were sent to Cambridge,UK to be marked. Needless to say, the results cam from Cambridge, UK as well.
have a good day.

13 A in the A levels is .... such a lie. I am with some of the posters here that you cannot believe everything that is posted on CC, despite what people say about them knowing something.

There was a guy here in CC who claimed he had 'first-hand knowledge' of Oxford, when it eventually emerged that he was there for only 3 days - as a guest of a College!

Most people are of the opinion that the IB is more demanding than A-Level and ive never encountered anyone who has the opposite view. Also the IB has the advantage of not being incessantly dumbed down by the Labour Party so as to ensure they achieve the illusion of improving standards in schools.

jkh......maybe some ppl lie in CC....but this 13 As thing is really true...just in case u want to know...this guy is going to be a sophomore at Princeton this fall... dont believe it if u cant.....just dont say it's a lie just because u havent met anyone that good..

Its a lie. The record number of A-Levels passed was set last year by a student who went on to Oxford who achieved 10 A grades out of 10 subjects taken.

i am from the city school darakshan and a friend of mine who was in my class got into princeton last year. she recently told me about a guy there who had 13 A's. i was perplexed at first as well, but it's true to every word. i was the only one at my school who took 5alevel subjects and this guys a nutter. my friend even told me how he'd done it. he's somewhere from nepal or kenya i think. don't quite remember the name.

oh and btw, the A-levels are of topmost difficulty when it comes to advanced placement exams. but it is also true that the lot in US will not be totally impressed with ur A's if anything else in ur app is missing. I was the only one who took 5A level exams in my school, got the highest marks in two subjects all over the school, got top of the line SATs(almost) and was still deferred at Johns Hopkins, and rejected everwhere else because of my weak extra curricular activities and probably because i asked for a mountaineous amount of fin aid. all i'm trying to say is that Alevels can be pretty impressive with ur app. but it's all a game of chance and luck. nothing is certain.

also that whoever says general is an easy exam is asleep. better wake up because it is one of the toughest exams there is. thing is most people who rank top in their classes have the natural aptitude to ace the exam. others are less suited for it and end up failing. the gap between the A graders and the U graders is WIIIIDE. almost 80% of the people in my class got unecpected U's in their exams.it is more like the SAT. be tense free and have a lot of information about everything.

suffice to say Alevels is not to be taken for granted. they test your reason and intellect. u can't just ace it by reading and rote learning. u need to be thorough about the stuff.

hey if there's anyone still doubting 11 A's, just go to hell. if u cant trust so many ppl with the same voice its u who has a problem.
hope u get cured.
n the 13 A guy, my buddy, rocks!!!
