I can almost use my iPOD!!

My parents and I made a deal. They would buy me an iPOD, but only as long as I kept on getting straight As, and I can not use it until after the AP tests, and my first test is on tuesday, and my last chem (may 10).....I can almost hear the beautiful music coming from my 20GB iPOD!!!

Man, I love iPODs...they are the best invention ever!

If you're getting an iPod don't forget to use the education discount (its like 30 dollars off or something). Also, I got mine at the same time as I bought my iBook so they gave me 230 dollars off, and my iPod ended up costing only 70 dollars!

btw, you are right that iPods are definitley the most awesome invention!
Don't forget to get the accessories too:) Like a case, iPod speakers, etc.

The house I lived in last year at Umich had a little stand for an ipod which we had wired to about 24432 speakers inside and outside.

Great for parties/pre-football games.

THAT was the ultimate ipod setup, but you're right - they are great inventions.

Hi--I wondered if any of you think the Apple Care extended warranty for an iPod is worth the extra $? I read something about the battery going out after a year so it might be a good idea? Thanks.

I think it is definitley worth it. But all iPods come with a one year warranty anyway I think, so if you end up not buying the warranty make sure to send in your iPod right before the standard warranty ends to get your battery replaced. I like the AppleCare warrranty though because if anything breaks within that like 3 years or something they will replace it with the exact model, or if the model is not in stock they will upgrade you to a newer model:)

Hey thanks zp, and I didn't mean to hijack your thread, neelesh--in fact I want to congratulate you on your great patience in waiting for your iPod and I think you will value it even more as something to show for all your efforts. And don't feel like you're the last kid on earth to get one--I'm getting my D hers for graduation in June. She has her AP test later this week too so I feel for all you seniors going through this now.

don't forget to use the education discount

wats that? could u elaborate please, thnx..... :)

On most apple products they have an education discount of varying amounts ($30 off iPods, $50 off iBooks, etc.).

To obtain the discount online visit the Apple Store for Education site at http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/routingpage.html
and select your school.

If you are buying in the Apple store you can mention that you are a student and they will apply the discount right there.

Also, a great deal at the Apple Stores is the "Cram and Jam" special that they usually have every summer. If you are going off to college this fall, you can buy an iBook there and get your $300 iPod for $70 brand new:)

Hah, my parents did almost the same deal, except I only asked for one for my bday. Pops showed it to me once he got it, but wouldn't let me use it until my bday, but I sweet talked them into letting me have it. I love the damn thing. 1044 songs on it so far.

The latest trend in NYC is for thieves to totally target unsuspecting IPod users on the subway by just snatching them from the users neck, because people usually wear them like a necklace.

i dunno wats wrog with me. my dad promised to buy for me when Alevel results come out or on my birthday and both were in march and i still have not bought one!! if only it had radio too....... still decidin btw ipod n zen.... :p
