Penn definitely sounds like the place for you. After all, there's a reason it's called the social Ivy. Also, if you're not into the greek scene, Penn and the city of Philly offers boundless opportunities for fun, while New Haven might be a bit confining.

Btw, don't apply ED:) I have enough competition from my school as it is.

Penn is great for you in every aspect you've listed except for housing.

Penn's housing is definitely a weak spot of the school...there is no Residential College type deal like at Yale (yes we have 'college house' but it really doesn't compare, you don't stay with it all 4 years or get listed in the Daily Pennsylvanian by which college you live in or anything like that).

There is still a sense of community, particularly in Kings Court/English House and Hill, but the actual facilities there don't compare to the Quad or any of Yale's houses.

Don't get me wrong, I love Penn, I picked it because of the abundance of fun and stupidity I knew I would have here. But I definitely haven't liked the housing system, which has never worked out for me.

Though if you want finance, it gives Penn a bit of an edge what with Penn's having it as an option and all...you could do Yale BA in econ and then go to Wharton for an MBA after but that's gonna take longer
