I got a 36 composite on my September ACT, with 36s in each category. How likely does that happen? I know online it will give the frequency for 36 composites, but I am curious about the frequency of 36s across the board. Some help would be nice.
P.S. I don’t mean to sound conceited and don’t want praise or anything. I’m just curious.
It’s definitely less frequent than a 36 composite, since a 34+36+36+36 or a 35+35+36+36 or a 35+36+36+36 all result in composites of 36. I’m assuming that you’ve already googled this, and I am no expert so I don’t think I can be of any more help. Congrats on your score!
You got C36 I highly doubt the following suggestion hasn’t occurred to you:
Google it.
Only ACT would know that information. You could try to do some sort of cross comparison of percentiles for each section, but someone could have a 32/32/36/32 and throw off everything.
Just be happy you have a 36. Congrats
Less than 2235 according to the letter the ACT sent out to 36 scorers :))
Congrats on your score btw, that’s pretty amazing! You’ll probably qualify for presedential scholar and stuff.
I just recently got the letter from the ACT and called the number that was given for any questions regarding my score. If and when my call is returned and my question is answered, I will post the frequency here, in case anyone else is curious.
Thank you all.
Wait was the 2235 number for that iteration of the ACT or is it a cumulative total for the year? My D took the Sept ACT and I seem to remember the number on her letter being 1600+ I’m just curious if the 600ish more 36C happened with the Oct version.
@Dolemite I think it was for last years graduating class.
