I Can't Handle It

I have 3 summer projects for my AP Classes and only 8 days to do them all.

i have to do a 35 page outline for World, read a book and do a report thing on it for world, and i gotta read a ook bout 40 psychological studies and do a thing for each of the 40 for Psych.

anyone have any advice on how i can handle this or get this done in 8 days?

I've been going through this recently since my teachers have decided to pile on the work before graduation.

My advice is that you sit down and prioritize. Figure out what is most important to accomplish. Or figure out which task would be faster to accomplish. Sit down and figure out some form of organization for how you are going to complete your projects. In your case, I would create a schedule and split up the work by weeks. Dedicate one week to psychology, and then the next week to another project.

Good luck!

Set a schedule and stick to it. Don't do anything other than go to school and work on that stuff.

I'm about to have to do that for my summer class and the ACT. I ditched work today so I could do school stuff.

catsushi, the problem with that is that i go away for the entire summer starting june 15, leaving me about 8 days to do everything so i can't quite devote a whole week to everything.

is there no way you can do some of that stuff while you're away?

^ agreed. even doing 1 study/a day away would be better. you can do stuff like that a summe rprogram

Maybe you should consider changing one of those classes to something that doesn't require so much work over the summer.

start by breathing. Then take some Valerian to calm down. Then start working you ass off.

^^Agreed with steelerfan. Don't bite off more than you can chew, which seems to be the situation here. What happens if you don't do the projects over the summer?

Why can't you do the projects while you're away? That's really odd...

I agree with steeler and cat though. If you can't handle that over the summer then you may not be able to handle the classes.

to all of you,
i can handle the classes, i just can't handle 3 summer projects in 8 days wen i want to enjoy my summer.

i can't do it over the summer cuz i go to sleepaway camp where i don't have access to a computer and i not going to want to be doing work. i like wait all year to go to camp, not to mention it costs 10,000 dollars and im not wasting that to do homework.

Well, if you don't want to help yourself by taking 30 minutes a day to do a little bit of your homework, even if it is at camp, then nothing we say is going to help. Just do it, that's all you can do.

That amount of work simply cannot be completed in 8 days. I would say that it would take at least a month (if you don't want to be working on it ceaselessly). The point of the work is undoubtedly to actually help you understand the class, and cramming for it in 8 days will not help you prepare for the AP classes (not to mention, it probably won't receive a great grade, either).

Will you have some time after summer camp to complete it? If not, you have no choice but to work during camp, or skip camp completely and find something less time consuming to do during the summer. If you sign up for AP classes, you have to be prepared to do the work, as inconvenient as it may be.

skiiip schoool!

This is what you need to realize. It just isn't possible for you to finish that work in 8 days. The reason classes assign this stuff over the summer is because they assume you'll be able to gradually do it over the course of an entire summer, not save it for the last week. So you either have to find a way to get it done before or during the camp, or you have to change your schedule.

The reason I asked what happens if you don't do your projects is because maybe you just shouldn't do them, simply put. :P Or prioritize and complete 2 of 3 or 1 of 3.

Have you tried to contact the teacher and talk to them about this?
