i cant make a decision!

Well I am currenty a high school senior, and am really having a super difficult time making my college decision. My personal goal is to decide end of this month, and theres so much to consider and im totally stressed out.
I am still waiting to hear from U of I, but I have already been admitted to IU kelly business, UW madison, and depaul.
Bascially its those four schools: U of I, IU, UW, Depaul

I live in the suburbs of chicago, I want a change, need diversity, and a quality education.

soooo opinions, comments, anything to help me narrow it down.

have you visited each campus? If so, which one impressed you the most on the visit?

Why is your goal to decide at the end of this month?

Do you need to look over the financial packages to know which schools are affordable or is money not a concern at all?

Have you visited each school?

Have you visited the housing choices?

What is your major?

Well all are great schools and unique. I would pay less attentioin to DePaul. I think you may be more influenced by which is more affordable, especially if your looking at grad school.

UW Madison hands down.

ive visited all, and yea financial stuff as well as housing is better faster and personally just need to make my decision

ive now narrowed it to IU and U of I (just got into business :))

oh and ive visited all but u of i is tom., when i was at IU i was not suppper impressed but its such a great school, esp Kelly school of business

i want to major in business, probably international business and finance/accounting

^^^

I’m not sure I understand what you wrote above.

What do you mean by: financial stuff as well as housing is better faster

ohh my dad would rather have me deal with all of it as soon as possible, sorry

^
Did you get into University of Illinois? If so congrats.
If I were you I would go with Illinois, but there is still more time to meet your goal of making a decision by the end of the month.

(nvm, read your recent post that you were admitted)

UW-Madison, if not U-Illinois.

IU, no question. I was in your situation 3 years ago (admitted to Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois, majoring in accounting and finance, in state for Illinois). Here is how I came to my decision:

IU - Highest ranked of the three in business overall and finance specifically, best recruiters coming to campus. Second best campus (I liked Madison better at the time, but as college is progressing I am enjoying warmer winters more and more). Cheapest for me (even though I was in state for Illinois, I got 10k/year in scholarships for IU). Also, I want to get into investment banking and Indiana is the biggest target school of the three for i-banks.

Illinois - Hated the campus. When visiting I did not like the students I met very much. Most of the people from my high school went here, needed to get away. Great accounting program, and still recruited by a lot of firms.

Wisconsin - Most expensive of the three by ~12k/year. Best campus. Students seemed fun to party with and smart to study with. They advertised their great internship placement while I had a meeting with a business school rep. Students recruited by good companies.

There was no reason for me not to come to IU (best business program, i-banks recruit here the most, cheapest). I do not regret my decision at all (great friends, I have a nice internship lined up with a boutique PE firm this summer).

OP, can your parents pay the OOS COA for IU?

Maybe you should just shelve this for a week and concentrate on de stressing. Seriously. You have some great options. Be happy. Slow down and be happy. Do some things for others and say words of appreciation to parents, friends and teachers who have helped you get to this happy juncture.

We see so many kids here who get wound up like toddlers on sugar on Christmas Eve when it comes to college acceptances. It can end up being drama for drama’s sake – except that you take family, friends, even the family dog on the roller coaster with you.
Go be kind to someone. Focus elsewhere for a bit. Then get around to decision making.
