Having a tough time deciding between two colleges

Hey everyone,

So my dilemma is basically choosing between two schools-- U of I, vs. IU.

I got into the Kelley Direct Admit program for Indiana, but unfortunately didn't get into the business program at U of I and was admitted to "Consumer Economics and Finance Concentration" instead.

Now what I need to decide is if I want to take the risk of going to U of I and then attempt to transfer into the business school after freshman year, or go to IU and have a guaranteed spot at Kelley.

The two factors that make me want to consider U of I is that it's ranked higher in the major I would like to pursue, accounting, and cheaper since I am in state.

Any input will be great! Thanks in advanced.

If you can afford to go OOS, I’d advise going to IU. Did you get any automatic merit scholarships?

Unfortunately not, I’m less than .1 away with my GPA to meet the requirement :(

My son looked at both schools and thought the IU Kelley program was for him. He loves it there and the school and program at the best. Don’t look back and go to IU.

If you did not get into the U of I Business you are taking a big risk. I would also go to the Direct Adm IU day that will be this spring. That will tell you a lot about the program.
