I can't think of ANYTHING to write for my college essay...urgently need help!!!

<p>I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with a topic for the personal statement part of the Common App. Supplement essays for particular schools don't seem like they'll be too hard, but I can't for the life of me come up with a topic for the personal statement. I've heard a million times that writing about something simple can even be good as long as you write the essay well, but i can't think of anything to write about! I know it needs to be unique since admissions officers are going to be reading so many essays, but I can't think of any topics. I don't have some incredibly fascinating life story; what am I supposed to write about?? I know that it's more in how you write than what you write about, but the topic still needs to be pretty good, I imagine. I would really really appreciate if anyone could give me any tips on brainstorming a topic or direct me to a website that will give me tips. Please don't suggest books, because I can't go out and buy a college essay book just now.</p>

<p>:O hmm… i’m also suffering from lack of topic BUT i got a few suggestions from friends :]</p>

<p>First, ask yourself “what is the most important thing to you”
after you reached an answer, think of all the experiences you had related to it~ the first ones that come to mind would probably be the ones most vivid and significant to you, then adjust them to fit the prompt and boom–>essay :] </p>
