is "fight on" a usc motto? everyone says that

^ "Fight On!" is the title of the fight song (probably one of the most famous fight songs in all of collegiate history... well, including Notre Dame Victory March). People use it a lot because it is just the thing to say. The school motto is some Latin phrase that translates into "He who holds it in the palm bears it" or something like that.

Fight On is a school motto, if not the official motto. It's not just the thing to say, it's tradition.

It's "Let he who holds the palm bear it." ;)
