I...deleted AIM.

Im actually pretty good at controlling myself on school nites but on weekends u cant take me away from it.

i give you a week

I like the excercise idea. Also try to watch movies or read books. If you want to try something interesting, change your password without looking, and then copy+paste that into the confirm new password. That way, you can't sign on with your username, and your online contacts will think you died.

I just began using AIM, but my parents will not allow me to talk much on it anymore. Besides, I am too depressed to talk for long hours on the service (I never know how to keep a conversation going for more than 30 minutes). I have also considered letting my ISP expire without renewal as well...if I abandon sociality it won't attempt to come after me.

Yeah my parents don't "allow me" either, kman, but they thought I deleted it a long time ago, and I just say I'm doing a report when i'm on late. After typing that, I just realized how many times i've lied to them because of aim. :(

ChuckNorris, you know if you really want to you can just send yourself an email reminding you of the password? That's why I just had to completely eliminate it.

<<it's called="" "self="" control."="">>
yeah rbase,i need to work on that, i remember that i did stop aim for a while when I was younger, and in the process, got addicted to other things instead =</it's>

cosine, that's how i was sometimes, and then this guy called me "pro-anno" aka pro-anorexic! man it feels like aim can be worse than cancer, if you take it to that degree.

haha andromon, you live in va too? coolness. yeah it takes a lot of mental willpower i suppose to completely barr yourself from it. good luck man.

sinsnottragegdies, thats good, i think for me i mainly used it as a procrastination tool, which is why i did it a lot on school nights, which is why i say, procrastination kills, like literally, not getting enough sleep etc.

yeah jackson, even though i'm not in dire need of exercise, I guess we can all use it every day or so; keeps the immune system strong. exercise leads to a lot of other good things in life, aim, a lot of other bad habits.

shopaholic .. .. . . i need at least 2 weeks, since then it's officially summer break. at least, maybe i should try to completely eliminate it from my life too.

AHH I wonder if this is how an alcoholic in rehab feels. fd;asklfjasd;

ps, kchen: for some people, it may take strong feelings toward a person to stay connected to aim, and i think you know where you get that from. ;)

hmm, i guess you're at about the fourth step

The 4th step?? What is this 12 step process anyway?? I thought completely eliminating it was the last step!

I'm an addict. Someone help me. :-

Yay, I get the PS... I knew that I was going to get mentioned. Haha. So I get it from you? I guess so.

ASPEN . . . you just gotta take the plunge and click "remove".
Man it's been hard, I've almost typed in aim.com 3 times today before I stopped myself . . .

ahhahahafadfdha;lfdashfdajlkasdjf;!!!!

Of course kchen, best for last. BUT, you know I wasn't referring to me. =)

Use gAIM.. the open-source alternative to the AOL program..
Uses your same screenname, and has lots of cool features.

AND, you're not technically on AIM.. you're on gAIM..

http://gaim.sourceforge.net/

also, there's no ads and annoying crap.

Sarorah: Don't make me spunch you.

Hahaha ckp. Thanks for the tip. But that kinda ruins the purpose, the entire reason for deleting it is cuz I waste too much time on it by chatting a lot . . so I'm on rehab, currently.

KCHEN . . . is that a threat miss?? I know how much you like Britney Spears so ima quote her song ;)
I see you lookin' at me
Like I got what you need
Get up out of your seat,
Why dont you do somethin'?
DO SOMETHIN HOMIE, I dare you :)

BRITNEY SPEARS? Sorry, I listen to better things than THAT! Haha. I still need to give you a spunch.
