I didn't know I needed to send an official transcript

Is submitted Early Action with everything far ahead of time. I log into myosu account that I was given the login info for yesterday. It said incomplete because I didn’t send in an official transcript, but it didn’t say to submit one on the common app, and I did the whole course and grade thing so I never thought to check. Any hope for me to keep my EA status? I wrote really great essays for a scholarship and honors, and I’m feeling really depressed.

I believe your counselor is supposed to submit your transcript.

Was I supposed to tell her tho? My counselors suck and actively try to get kids not to succeed

@sarajayhawk Yes, you are supposed to request that your counselor send a transcript. Go on Monday and ask if they can rush it to OSU. Generally, there is a few days grace period for materials that the student does not submit directly. But you should resolve this as quickly as possible!

Is it in the common app report that they do?

Your counselor will submit your official transcripts and school report directly to the colleges you ask him/her to. He/she can do it through naviance if your school uses that systems, or can email it directly to admissions. Ask nicely that it be done tomorrow (Monday). Your Counselor knows what to do, but you must do the asking. Ohio State’s website says all materials must be received by the deadline; there is no language about a grace period although most schools usually have one for items that come from someone beside you. Hopefully you also requested your official act or sat scores be sent as well?? That is also your responsibility. Good luck, and hope it works out for you.

It’s the first thing listed on their webpage under application requirements. Official transcripts should be sent to every school you apply to regardless if they allow self reporting. I would call admissions first thing this am and see if they will still consider your application for early action. They might. Some schools have a later due date for counselor requirements.

Yeh they have my act scores
