i don't get it.

<p>I think that colleges use there own system to rank/weight stuff, not the ones given by HS or applicants. That gives them a consistent comparison. Plus they use the school's profile in determining the quality and any eventual ranking.</p>

<p>so would the colleges consider AP classes into a factor when they see not so steller grades? i'm doing fine this year, but i had a C in US History I during my sophomore year.</p>

<p>Weighted GPAs are so neurotic suburban parents can score points off each other, but you didn't hear that from me.....</p>

<p>the most important part of your application to the yale adcom is CLASS RIGOR. so yeah, that's what weighted gpas are for. and to calculate rank.</p>
