I don't know what school to transfer to for the fall of 2018.

I am most likely going to SDSU.I have a 3.94 GPA in AS to transfer in Business form a JC. The only UC school to accept me was Merced and they gave me a Regents Scholarship. I also got into Long Beach State and Fullington. I would like your feedback.

For Business, you cannot beat SDSU followed by CSU Fullerton as a close second.

Thanks, it is a hard choice. I like CSU Fullerton a lot. The campus was small. At SDSU when you transfer in, you have to take The Writing Placement Assessment (WPA) it is a two-hour examination used to evaluate writing competency for the upper division course, but CSUF you do not.

The perks to the Regents scholarship are amazing, and though UC Merced kinda has a bad reputation IMHO it’s pretty unfair cuz they’re so new. From what I’ve heard, they’re getting better. Are you still waiting on UCSD, Cal, and LA?
If those are the only choices you have tho, I’d take SDSU. It isn’t in the best area in San Diego but SD is beautiful nonetheless and it’s a great school. A two hour writing exam doesn’t sound fun but I wouldn’t avoid a school just because of that

@JonneyYuma I got a Regents to Merced but sadly turned it down to go higher tier. But it’s $7000 a year!! My mom says everyone thought Davis was a joke when she went to berkeley -she said it was exactly the way people look at Merced now. Merced is going to surpasss poor Riverside and maybe even UCSC. Merced has a national university ranking, plus several departments have national rankings, both of which are pretty amazing considering how young the campus is. Because it’s small you get a great opportunity to work one-on-one on research projects not afforded students at other UCs. Ultimately it’s your decision, but I would go to Merced. Plus, the Regents will look great on your resume.

Next choice: SDSU

Ohm888 thanks, I am waiting to see how much aid they give me. UCMerced cost about $11,000 a year, so with $7000 I still be short. SDSU cost $6500 a year, but they gave me almost $20,000 in aid. Furthermore, I will get more money. I renew my CA grant, but I won’t know the amount till June, and my JC is giving me a Scholarship on honors day.
