I don't know what schools to apply to. What should I do from here?

Are there any good schools that I can apply to for transfer that give out reasonable aid to students in need? I'm at a complete loss of what schools to apply for my studies in the Spring 2015 semester (at the time of application I will have 32 credits completed)? I'm doing Electrical Engineering as a major.

Current School List:
-NYU (Polytechnic School of Engineering)
-Syracuse University
-Rochester Institute of Technology
-UC Berkeley (I'm not expecting much from this school except a rejection notice; its too much of a reach.)
-UCLA (The same as UC Berkeley.)

I want to apply for two more schools that I actually have a shot at, but I don't know any other ones that I am strong for. :/

Here are my stats.

School: CUNY-City Tech
Current GPA: 3.943/4.0

Courses:
Calc 1 (Took in Fall 2013 semester)
Calc 2-with honours distinction on my transcript (Currently taking for the spring 2014 semester)
English Comp. 1 (Took in Fall 2013 semester)
English Comp. 2 (Taking in the summer)
Circuit Analysis 1 (Currently taking for the spring 2014 semester)
Alg. Based Physics-first semester (I didn't have a choice in the matter for taking alg based physics; Took in Fall 2013 semester)
Calc Based Physics-first semester (Currently taking for the spring 2014 semester)
Intro to Philosophy (Currently taking for the spring 2014 semester)
General Chemistry 1 OR Calc Based Physics-second semester (Taking in the summer)
Techniques of Electrical Technology (Took in Fall 2013 semester; probably won't carry any weight in my admissions because this class is only worth 2-credits and was a pre-req for circuit analysis 1)

E.C.s/Hooks
-I'm a URM
-I'm enrolled in two honours programs within my school. One emphasizes community service, another emphasizes research programs.

What about SUNY?

@ddotjon
I heard SUNY is stingy with Financial aid. I would like to apply to UB though.

If financial aid is a problem, NYU isnt known for being the most accomodating

@Freetofly112
NYU Poly is known to give nice F.A. and their F.A. isn’t going to change due to the merger.

UC’s only take Jr transfers, with priority to CCC students. They don’t give aid for OOS. The only aid you will get is any Federal Aid you are entitled to.

Oh? thanks BrownParent. I guess I won’t bother applying to them then.

Besides NYU Poly and RIT, check out the other AITU schools. They typically give good financial aid to transfers and they all have good ABET accredited programs. With your grades, I am pretty sure my university, Illinois Tech would love to have you as a student.

@xraymancs
Wow 3 of the schools I’m applying to are AITU schools. (wpi, nyu and RIT)
Thanks for sharing that list and I’ll look into Illinois Tech
