Hey guys, I took the SAT for the fourth time on December 7 and the scores came in today. Before I took it, my highest score was 660-Reading, 580-Math, and 610-Writing.My December 7th scores saw a decrease for the first time. It's a drastic decrease in Reading and a little decrease in Math. My new SAT scores are 580-Reading, 550-Math, 690-Writing. Although I'm happy about my new SAT writing scores, wouldn't it look really bad to colleges if they saw my new scores go down? Or would they not mind? My previous superscore was 1850, but with the new increase in writing, it's now 1930. Any comments? Opinions?

Well a lot of colleges use super scoring so I don’t think it’s all bad! My December scores were all decreased, so I’m retaking in January (although I’m a senior). But seriously, I think the superscore outweighs the drop.

Check your colleges to see if they use superscoring–if so, you’re fine.

I know the colleges I’m going to apply to are superscoring, I’m just scared that my drop in Reading and Math will make me look bad. Thanks for your replies!
