I dun' messed up first semester Junior Year

Hi Everyone,
I'm not so much of an avid poster here on CC, so I'll try my best to just stick to my points..

Anyway, my Freshman year of high school, I had gotten terrible grades.
First semester, I had gotten a 3.0, and second a 2.0.
Yeah, I know, whoops.

It was there, during English 1 summer school, where I had decided to make a difference in my life.

Sophomore Year:
(CP) English II A/A
(CP) Biology A/A
(CP) Sociology of American Pop Music A/A
(CP) American Sign Language A/A
(CP) World History A/A
(CP) Geometry A/A

^the reason why I was in Geometry (and now, in Algebra II) is complicated. I'll get into more detail about that.

Now, Junior Year (at a new school):
(AP) US History: C
(AP) English III: B
(AP) Chemistry Lecture: B
(AP) Chemistry Laboratory: B
(CP) Algebra II: B
(CP) Theater I: A

As you can see, my grades have taken a turn for the worst. It's a 3.5 weighted.
I do take full responsibility (except for Algebra II, I wish I was joking. He harasses me on the daily and removes points from my tests for arbitrary reasons. I have records of him calling me a waste of a human life on several different occasions.)

The reason for my poor grades, is because it took me the first half of the semester to adapt to my rigorous course schedule. Now, of course I'm acing all of my tests, quizzes, and homework- but the first half of the semester was a huge leap from Sophomore year, and I did not know how to manage my time, study for a college leveled class (cramming notes the night before doesn't work anymore), etc.

At my current pace, grade wise, I would have definitely gotten all A's. But, the fact that I was failing most of my courses due to this big leap the first half of the semester, screwed me over. My teachers have been talking to me, congratulating me on my new grades in the class; but sadly, I can't raise my grades higher than they are now. For example, in APUSH, I raised my test grades in increments of 10 (53, 63, 73, 83, 93 <that's where I've been at for a few weeks)

Next semester, I hope (and will) finish with the following grades...
(AP) US History: A
(AP) English III: A
(AP) Chemistry Lecture: A
(AP) Chemistry Laboratory: A
(CP) Algebra II: A
(CP) Theater I: A

(CC) ASL II: A
(CC) Anthropology: A

4.0/4.625.

I know that most prestegious colleges will view me as a big risk, because of my shaky grades, but what do you all think?

By the way,
Sophomore PSAT: 158
Junior Mock SAT (ill day of PSAT): 222

I run a non-profit that hosts 5Ks in an effort to raise Malaria awareness in third world countries,
Treasurer of Poetry Club,
BBYO,
400 Hours of Community Service,
Peer Counseling
Counselor in Training at Summer Camp
Summer Camp Counselor at Summer Camp
Writing a novel in Serial form in my high school's newspaper
etc..

By the way, the reason why I'm in such a low math course is because I had to take Algebra I three times (7th, 8th, and 9th).

7th- Went to a very small charter middle school, everyone required to take; I got an A.
8th- Most people did fairly poorly in the class, so I could either retake it with everyone, or do independent study Geometry. My parents wanted me to retake it.
9th- My first high school required everyone to take Integrated 1 (a combination of both Geometry and Algebra I in one semester). I then moved, and my new high school interpreted the class as Algebra I.

I'm good at math, I was the first person to finish geometry with over a 100% in over 30 years. I also got a 740 on the path portion of my mock SAT (ill during PSAT).

Basically, I'd be applying with..
Unweighted GPA: 3.41
UC Unweighted GPA: 3.75
Weighted GPA: 3.52
UC Weighted GPA: 4.03

SAT (as of now): 2220

By the way,
I’m planning to apply to:
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSB
UCSD
UCSC
Univ of Mich
etc…

Well one of the first things you should remember is that the UCs don’t look at freshmen year grades…so you’re safe there. You’re junior grades aren’t the best, but if you write good essays and pull your grades together next semester you should have a decent shot at some of the UCs. Another thing that helps is having meaningful and unique ECs…that’s something unrelated though. Not sure about the out of state schools since they might see you as a bit risky.

Thanks for your response, saif235!
Some of the UCs as in UCSC, UCSD, and UCSB?
Low shot at LA and Berkeley, I’m guessing?
