my super secret time saving trick is to put a dash through the letter choice instead of circling it.

It saves lots of time.

If you feel the need to cross out an answer choice as you're trying to discern the right answer, cross out the answer next to the letter instead of the letter so you don't get confused.

Circle the answer choice. . . ? You fill in a bubble. . . .

smacks head against window

I meant on the test booklet.

This is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've read in a long time. Circling the letter would literally take a quarter of a second longer than crossing it out.

I still don't understand why you have to circle anything on the test booklet anyway?

A lot of prep books recommend that you circle the answers in your test booklet, and bubble them in in blocks. For example, instead of bubbling in each answer as you find it, bubble in the answers to questions 1-10 all at once.

Hmm, I think that would throw me off. I'd probably end up skipping a number or something. I'm fine with my way - figure out answer, bubble it in.

Congratulations to jmanco49 for starting, yet, another useless and stupid thread! Really, I mean it! Good Job!

Sigh

This saves me 10 seconds on EACH portion of the act and sat.

for me, those extra 10 seconds made the difference between a 710 and 680 on the math section.

If you don't want my advice, don't take it, but stop being such a jerk. It will get you nowhere in life.
