Dartmouth College
Brown university (TOP CHOICE)

Cornell University: CAS (alterate: art history)
Wesleyan University
Colgate University
SUNY Geneseo
SUNY Binghamton
***BROWN-RISD DUAL DEGREE PROGRM (TOP TOP CHOICE)

SORRY ITS SUCH A LONG READ

project my decisions now that ive applied everywhere

I think you're credentials are awesome, but your SAT II scores hurt you a little bit.
But your art awards are a great hook.
I can definitely see you being a top applicant at all the schools, but Brown is probably going to be your hardest.
Good luck, and I hope you get into Brown.

yup i've seen that Brown-RISD Dual Degree Program... I dunno if it's true but I actually heard ppl say that it's easier to get in than Brown itself... so...

I dunno ur chances or ur decisions-to-come... cuz i'm an int'l student... i can't say anything for ya cuzo ur circumstances r different... but i'd say ur stats are pretty good...expect...well...as u said ur 9th and 10th & ur US History score.......Don't u think ur MATH II score is a bit weak, too? But..I guess it'll be okay since ur focus really isn't on math or sciences...

phew,...i just said a lotta ******** didn' i... ignore me, please and thank you =]

I dunno if it's true but I actually heard ppl say that it's easier to get in than Brown itself... so...

actually, ive heard that it's one of the hardest programs in the nation to get into

you have to first get into the best art school in the nation and one of the premier institutions of higher education SEPARATELY, and then be one of the 20 chosen from the applicant pool of hundreds

and i agree with j73...brown is my top top choice, but also the hardest to get into :( i REALLY hope they do as holistic an approach as they claim to do...

and id also appreciate if people did the whole IN/reach/match for each college?

Bowdoin College-- HIGH MATCH
Williams College-- LOW REACH
Rhode Island School of Design-- ???
Dartmouth College-- REACH
Brown university (TOP CHOICE)-- REACH
Cornell University: AAP (primary: fine arts)-- HIGH MATCH/LOW REACH
Cornell University: CAS (alterate: art history)-- HIGH MATCH/LOW REACH
Wesleyan University-- LOW MATCH
Colgate University-- IN
SUNY Geneseo-- IN
SUNY Binghamton-- IN
***BROWN-RISD DUAL DEGREE PROGRM (TOP TOP CHOICE)-- GOD BLESS

here's what I think. Your arts credentials (at least from what I can tell, seeing as I'm not familiar with what's prestigious in the art world) seem to be your major hook. The fact that your standardized testing is meh doesn't help, but is somewhat offset by your success in the ECs. A strong upwards trend in your GPA/grades is also a good thing

The reason I put Bowdoin/Williams as somewhat difficult is because those schools don't follow a traditional pattern of admissions at all. How much interest did you express in those schools prior to applying? Can you honestly see yourself there? These are all things (based on acceptance trends from my own school) that these schools especially scrutinize...

I stuck the Ivies as reaches because they are never easy to predict. Moreso than at other institutions, I'd say your unspectacular SATs will hurt here. That being the case, I think you still have a remarkably strong app and a decent shot at Brown/Cornell/Dartmouth. Those places would be quite boring if test scores were all they cared about...

and I'm blanking on further explanations for the other schools

good luck!

Bowdoin College- in
Williams College- 50/50
Rhode Island School of Design- in
Dartmouth College- 60-75%
Brown university (TOP CHOICE)- 60%

Wesleyan University- in
Colgate University- in
SUNY Geneseo- in
SUNY Binghamton- in
***BROWN-RISD DUAL DEGREE PROGRM (TOP TOP CHOICE)- idk not familiar but i think based on ur art portfolio id give it a better chance then brown alone..
