I got 2 Cornell Alumni Contacts?

I received an alumni contact from Cornell (CAAAN) in mid-January, and had a pretty good phone call and talk with the person.

Then, on the last day of February, I received this email:

I am a member of the Cornell University Alumni Admissions Ambassadors Network. We work in conjunction with the Cornell University Admissions Office to contact applicants. We offer voluntary contacts with applicants to provide them with information about Cornell University.
If you are interested in discussing Cornell University with me today or tomorrw, please let me know and I will set up a mutually convenient time for me to contact you over the phone. Unfortunately we are on a short time line due to the admissions calendar. The contact meeting usually lasts 10 minutes or less.

Best regards,

Cornell University - Class of [ ], College of Human Ecology
(I left out the information here, not sure if the person would want it out there)

I proceeded to schedule a call for the next day, and had a really nice talk with the alumni that called me.
So, in short, I got a second Cornell alumni contact on March 1st (the last day to submit CAAAN reports). Is this normal? Could it mean anything?

I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences.
