I got 2 ?questions? about the FAFSA

<p>I submitted the FAFSA earlier today. The confirmation page said that my family's EFC was "000167." Firstly, I did not think that I would get my EFC for a few weeks after submission. Secondly, I am a bit unsure what the number amount is. I'm guessing that it is $167. Is that it?</p>

<p>I have applied to 11 colleges and the FAFSA caps it at 10. I know that there are ways to add more, but should I do this before or after I have updated the FAFSA? I used estimates because we haven't filed taxes yet.</p>

Yes

As soon your first submission is processed, you should submit the FAFSA again for your 11th college.</p>

<p>Well…sort of. Once the first batch of schools is processed, you need to go in, delete those, and add that 11th school and submit. Actually you can delete just one school…add the last school, and resubmit…but then you will have submitted twice to nine of those schools.</p>

<p>But do remember that when you update after your taxes are done, you will need to update all eleven as well!</p>
