What if I got a 2 on my AP test? I got 4's and one 3 on my other AP tests but this one I bombed at! Will good colleges such as Ivy Leagues still accept me?!

I’m quoting myself; the poster had asked about the consequences of getting a 1 on an AP exam.

I’d recommend you don’t send in your scores. What adcoms don’t know won’t hurt them.

No they will not. You know why? Because chances are, if you got an A or a B in the class, you should have gotten a 4 or a 5 on the test. If you do not have A’s and B’s, you chances are slim.

It is completely optional to send in your AP scores. So no, that will not influence any admissions decisions.

^Taking numerous AP scores and not sending them in might raise a bit of suspicion.

Perhaps I’m wrong, feel free to correct me, but I think you simply self-report AP scores on applications. Personally, I only sent scores to the school I decided to attend, though this might not be standard. If true though, I don’t see why you couldn’t simply report only your 3’s and 4’s.

Haha, keep in mind that college admissions counselors are only looking at what they see in front of them and staying focused to get through the thousands of applications…they probably won’t read into it too much. Personally, I think that colleges understand that standardized tests are difficult for some people. If you have the grades, ECs, and other test scores, your AP score should not hurt you.
